This is a book that I read in middle school and then again for my own thematic unit. It was fascinating to me both times. I was so impressed with all the true facts that it included in a book appropriate for children. I thought it would be a good way to get your feet wet in the Holocaust unit without scaring them too much!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a perfect fit for both of your thematic units! How great you two will be able to help build a theme together! I love team work! Two heads are always better than one!!
ReplyDeleteI do like this book. It wasn't something I read in middle or high school, but I wish I had. It is a good read! I think it is great that we ended up working in our group together and we have the same theme. It is nice to have the two heads working together!! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book. It had a profound effect on me when I read it in 5th or 6th grade. I still remember the school librarian reading a section of it aloud. It might be good as an introduction to the topic.
